My first Tatler Ball

$
0
0
I was invited by Jasiminne Yip from Posh Broke and Bored to accompany her to the Malaysia Tatler Ball 2015 since Henry, her English boyfriend couldn't make it to Malaysia this round. I was delighted and agreed, since I've never been to any of this high society kinda ball before.

I thought why not?
I get to play dress up and not smelling like breast milk with messy hair hehe

I even brushed up on my social etiquette and fine dining skills, as I don't wanna embarrassed Jasiminne's mom, Vivienne Cheng whom is very well known amongst the high society people.

First thing I did was finding the right gown. I've scrolled on so many pages and ended with this purple-ish princess dress from Magazine Boutique. I thought to myself, this dress is not very me, but I'll give it a try anyway. I wanted to try something different and always wanted a princess cut like cos I've always dressed in Mermaid cuts.

I also went to 176 AVENUE which is newly opened by my cousin in law, Jolyna and her 2 partners to get my nails done! Adding some glitter won't hurt! It is located right opposite BSC. It's a one stop beauty saloon which I will blog about it more later.

Hello Ombre gel nails with bling bling

So, finally the time has come.

I don't know about you, but when people think about high society events, they will somehow think there's when snobbish people just talks about how much wealth they own, what car they are driving and blah blah blah, you get the picture.

But I didn't hear any of that, in fact, I was seated with two girls who are so pretty and so down to earth! The Fong sisters made me feel so welcomed when I told them it was my first time to the ball.

The ball started with speeches, followed by entertainer dancers and bands. It has this wedding vibe and I was at awe at the deco. Everyone was ready to paint the town red. Well, actually more to black.

The atmosphere has this soft dreamy feeling with purple hues which I love. Everything was perfect, the mood was right on point and the food was really good.

Right after dessert was served, the floor was open and you can see all the ladies gushed to the dance floor while their husband sits at the table, smoking cigars and enjoying their whiskey.

I thought Tatler Ball is all about dining and socializing, I've never could have guessed that there would be some dancing! I didn't make it to the dance floor as my back was aching and I don't think I can swing and dance anymore. So, I just sat on my table and enjoy my bottle of Moet.

Hello old friend ;)

With Aunty V and Ah Hwa
The dynamic mother and daughter duo, both looking fabulous as ever.

Thank you Ah Hwa aka my partner in crime for such a wonderful night!

 Goodnight everyone :)

Will blog about Seoul soon! I am currently sick, hopefully I will recover soon enough to blog!

Cheers

Traveling to Seoul with a one year old

It was madness.

Mika just turned one and we decided to bring him to Seoul, Korea during Autumn, which I've never experience this season before. I've never even been to a country during Autumn or Winter.

Yes, I've never touch snow before as I am more of a beach bum kinda person.

To be honest, I wasn't completely geared up for this trip as I was busy with work, Su Anne's wedding and taking care of the baby. I didn't even put much effort in research and I think it's why my trip was not as good as I thought it would be.

Traveling to Seoul with a toddler who just learn to walk is crazy. He wants to be carried all the time! Thank goodness we bought a new traveling stroller just in time for Seoul, can't imagine we traveling it with the Mima Xari.

The plane ride was OK because it was a 1 am flight and we book the Premium Flatbed instead as I know my back will patah even before we land in Seoul. We reached Seoul in the wee mornings, don't bother taking the train. Take UBER instead. With a baby and your heavy luggages ( more of baby's stuff ) you will have a hard time carrying everything!

There is not a single baby/kid in the train station as it's not baby friendly, there are too many steps and we were lucky as we travel in groups. My friends and sister was always there to help me. Thank you guys, couldn't do it without your help.

Mika's expression for the first two days!

The weather is nice but sometimes can be quite cold especially during the night. Make sure that your baby always have proper clothing. We bought heat tech inner clothing for the whole family from Uniqlo. Nice, comfy and warm.

Walking around Myeong Dong looking for awesome beauty products. I love Myeong Dong, but it's also not baby friendly. LOL.

You wanna know why?

Because all the cafe are upstairs and not a single one downstairs! We had to carry the stroller UP and DOWN and forget about nursing rooms. NONE! I hardly see any kid around. I even nurse him in the toilet.

Myeong Dong is filled with so many people walking that my husband gave up and he went to find a cafe to chill with Mika while I shop. Yup, not that baby friendly...

First day OOTD
Scarf from H&M
Top from ZARA
Pants fro PADINI
Bag from Charles&Keith
Shoes from Melissa

I wore my Melissa shoes the whole time in Seoul because it's so comfy!

We also checked out the DDP, which was so so so so beautiful....

Amazing architecture at the DongDaeMun Design Plaza, it has this Sci-Fi kinda feels.

Not forgetting the amazing LED roses which brightens the city and captivated our hearts.
You will literally go.. Awwwwwwwww....

Oh, forgot to mention that Lina and I went shopping at 2am! This is once in a life time experience which I will never forget.. Left the baby sleeping with the hubs, hop into the cab and off to DDM!

Also, the people there don't really speak English and the cab drivers are quite rude, we had quite a few experience where they just left us somewhere near our destination and we got lost. Getting lost with a baby is not fun. I think everyone in the group has the same incident. I even got lost in the market without any phone, and I asked at least 4-5 groups if they speak English and all of them juts shook their head till I finally met one. Better brush up on your Korean if you plan to visit one...

Then the next day we head to Apujeong, where cafe Dior is located! Sheena first saw it on Instagram and we were so excited to try Pierre Herme's delectable desserts!

Everyone there was super friendly to us which was a shocker! They opened our car door, greeted us with a smile and carefully explain whatever we question them. They are all smiley and generally nice people. I don't know whether the love Mika or they noticed Jasiminne's limited edition Lady Dior handbag?

The manager suggested to try their famous Ispahan Ice Cream which totally blew my mind! And I paired it with the Ispahan champagne.

Yes, I need some drink after the first hectic day I've had...

The perfect combo

Second Day OOTD
Inner top and bottom from UNIQLO HEAT TECH
BULU Layer from H&M
Belt from Vera Wang
Shoes from Melissa

With the Seoul Sisters,
Jasiminne, Jillian, Lina, Me and Sheena

Not forgetting our family photo which is a must! Love this blue sweater that Jolyna, Vicca, Ernest and Chris got for him for his first birthday.

The ambience was really nice and relaxing with a lot of click click..

Hehe, click click means a lot of girls taking selfie with desserts!

Mika had a lot of FUN in Lotte World, like finally! The only place filled with kids.. but with Mika being only one year old and barely walks, the rides were kinda limited :(

We actually bought the one day pass and regretted it as we paid quite a lot and we didn't even try on any rides for the adults. I suggest if you don't want to play any ride, you can pay only for the baby rides that you wanted.

To me honestly, it's just like a bigger GENTING HIGHLANDS... Nothing really to shout about but Marcus said it was good, so I don't know... perhaps I didn't enjoy it as I was already falling sick.

The last day we spent at Olympic Park which is one of the best park I've been too. The red, orange and yellow were too beautiful to be missed. It's my first time seeing this and yes, there were no single baby in sight. LOL. Perhaps all the kids are hiding from the cold?

Yup, that's me BREASTFEEDING by the park and yes it was freezing cold but we were feeling so warm at the time... Skin to skin is the best and I am sure Mika enjoyed his milk.

With the famous ALONE TREE, you are not alone anymore!

With my MELISSA shoes, thank you for accompanying me to Seoul.. you really took good care of my feet! LOVE YOU! and even though it's really dirty now ( after walking in the park ) it's so easy to clean it! Just use wet wipes to wipe all the dirts that stuck on my shoe. Love  how I can be fashionable yet comfy.

Mika lost one side of his shoes in Olympic Park which broke my heart. I didn't even noticed that his shoe went missing til after we got out from the park! This picture proves it went missing around this area..

Le Sigh...

Till we meet again, Seoul..

Hello 176 Avenue, Bangsar!

You guys must have heard about this new all-in-one beauty station right opposite BSC. The lot which I always admire whenever I am driving back from Bangsar to home. The high ceiling with black frame glass and the cement  exterior really compliments each other.

I've always wanted to check out the place and till one day, I've got an invite from Marcus' cousin who opened 176 Avenue with her 2 other partners.

From Nails, Hair, Waxing to Eyelash Extension! They've got you covered!

Ps : FREE PARKING! WoooHOOO! Don't have to waste time finding parking, just ask them to reserve a space for you. Also, if your car is blocking someone, they will personally help you re park your car while you pamper yourself.

Good service right?

Come MaMa help Mika

MaMa, you nails look gorgeous today

One of reason why I like the place is because it's baby friendly ( YAY to baby friendly places ) Now I can do my nails while Mika plays around at the kid's corner.

Did I mention this place serves you alcohol while you are making your self even more gorgeous?
Yes! White wine, Red or beer! You name it! Or you can even choose fruit juice, coffee and tea.

They also have private rooms for you to get ready. I am sure brides would love getting ready here! You can also book for a hen's night party or even a baby shower! It is really spacious and the place is just very instagrammable!

You may ask, how is their service like?

Good. Very attentive servers to make sure you are comfortable. The manicurist are talented as well! I've never tried waxing or did eyelash extension just yet.

Is there anything I would like to have to make it better?

Maybe a massage service would be nice? Simple body massage or foot massage to complete the day.

I can imagine myself lounging around there with a nice soft plush robe and slippers, sipping wine while getting pampered :) and watching my son like a hawk at the corner of my eyes.

I also can imagine it's a place for mothers like to escape for half a day. Perhaps a good gift to your hardworking wife on Mother's Day?

or

Another fun day with your girlfriends of course.

This place do actually feels like home, a luxurious home with beautiful interior and multiple talented people working to pamper you.

Now you know why I feel like wearing a robe and laze around.

You will understand it completely once you are there.

They are also having a Christmas promotion right now!

RM 100 for  GEL Manicure Christmas Nail Art  :)

I purposely put the Santa Claus and now Mika loves to find it whenever I said
" Where's Santa? "

and he will find the right nail :)

I bet everyone don't like to answer or ask this question :

Where to eat? What to eat?

You decide lah, No! You decide!

and the story goes on and on and half an hour or rather an hour later... you guys are still arguing where to eat.

This happens most of the time but THANK YOU to the internet, it's quite easy to spot a good restaurant and BAKAR is no exception.

I've always been a fan of Mr Ben Yong, owner of the BIG GROUP. I think he's super creative and I really admire him!

We were at BAKAR for Marcus' birthday dinner and it was my first time there. Take note that this place is not really that baby friendly and it's meant more for people enjoying their meals and having great conversation kinda place.

The menu is limited but trust me, the food is to die for.

We ordered to share, we had 2 plates of flatbread which was amazing, parcel clams bake which is spicy and gingery, it was so good that we ordered two bowls, the grilled watermelon and not forgetting the sotong bakar and chicken salt fries for appetiser. Sedap giler.

I had the best salmon belly ever in my life. No joke. Until now, I can feel the taste of my bakar salmon belly. I am not a food blogger but this place is the bomb!

It was a nice and quiet dinner at first as we were the only group there but later on it was packed. Even after we finished our dinner, the server said the next group is already waiting for the our table. Business must be good! Location wise is a bit weird, deep in the housing area but it was all worthied!

Marcus has always been a fan of beef and YES its really good too. Sorry no picture :p

Mika agrees that the food is yummy!

Then comes the surprise birthday cake which Marcus have to crack it open hehe!

We ordered another dessert cos you know me lah, always craving for sweet stuff after dinner :) and S'mores are my favourite!

I will definitely come back!

Let's face it..

I am not getting any younger, and taking care of Mika is indeed tiring. Yes, it's hard being a mother. More so, a mother who gets not enough sleep. My dark circle is getting worst and my complexion is getting less and less radiant.

I mean, I am turning 30 in a few months’ time and all I pray is for me to age gracefully.

Friends do say I look tired too...

I don't blame them, as I AM SERIOUSLY TIRED.

Please ah, God... let me age gracefully, ok?

Look at my dark circles

Actually, he kinda did answered my prayer...

I was introduced to Body Perfect Ladies Beauty & Slimming Haven at The Plaza, Northpoint, Mid Valley City and at first I thought the name of the brand, should be only for slimming purposes right?

I was wrong.

Basically, they wanted to create a perfect image for ladies from head to toe.

When I stepped into the beauty haven, it has this cosy and home-ly vibe. The staffs were super friendly and not to mention, some of their staff won awards for being loyal to the company. You know the company is good when staffs are loyal. They have been working there for more than 10-13 years. They must have really loved all those treatments for making them look beautiful, I mean who would leave right?

The beauty haven has spacious treatment rooms, deluxe spa facilities with Jacuzzi, clean restrooms,
shower area, private lockers, relaxation lounge, dressing area, juice bar, sauna and even complimen-
tary parking services for guests to enjoy and relax.

The private lockers for each individual clients

I was very privileged to try Body Perfect’s renowned Medi-Oxygen Infusion Facial Therapy which most celebrities do for their picture-perfect moment. This is also one of their biggest beauty secret apart from plastic surgeries or Botox.

Why?

Because it's Anti-ageing.

My current favourite word.

I guess my friends will now buy for me anti-ageing creams this Christmas or on my birthday.

Hehehehehe

Walking into the treatment room

The treatment started off with Qi & Lymphatic Drainage and head guat sar to help me relax and followed by the pampering facial. I haven't had any facial since I was pregnant and yes, my face is filled with impurities.

They even showed it to me right after the extractions. Then came the oxygen infusion which I love.

The treatment incorporates pure 99% oxygen in a pressurized stream to remove impurities and deliver nutrients and hydration back to the skin. Trust me, breathing clean oxygen from the tank has this superb feeling. Divers will totally understand how this feels as we need to breathe in oxygen when we dive.

They even showed me my face after they cleanse half of it with oxygen and I notice it's more hydrated and brightened instantly.

The synergistic combination of oxygen anion mist and inhalation process provides you with the following benefits:

• Detoxifies the skin

• Brightens & rejuvenates dull skin

• Helps clear congested, blocked pores

• Delivers oxygen & nutrient

• Enhances collagen formation & healing

• Dermal regeneration

• Stimulates circulation

• Repairs and decreases free radicals

• Improves wrinkles, scars, large pores, bruise and acne

• Promotes good respiratory system

• Reduces stress

• Increases energy and alertness

• Improves sleep quality

• Relaxes the body

• Anti-fatigue

Super a lot of benefits right?

#winliao

It has been a week since the treatment and I felt that my skin texture has improved, my dark eye circles are lightened and my skin is more hydrated. Hydration is very important for me as I still breastfeed Mika and he takes a lot of water out from me.

I also experienced the Body Perfect's Full Body Detoxification Treatment a week after my facial.
This unique treatment adopts a synergized combination. They commenced the treatment with the traditional French Lymphatic technique, which is a technique that improves lymphatic circulation.

Next, the micro currents from the state-of-the-art apparatus will "draw out" toxins from your deeper skin layer. By the elimination of toxins, it will allow our cells to oxygenate, and to regenerate easier. It also promotes and encourages absorption and penetration of natural ingredients applied onto the skin.

The benefits?

· Thorough Detoxification technique that enhances optimum skin health.

· Stimulates lymphatic drainage and eliminates trapped toxins.

· Exfoliation of dead skin cells and excessive impurities.

· Improves skin immune system.

· Anti-oxidant.

Prevents formation of age spots and ageing skin.

· Boosts moisture content of skin.

· Promotes skin brightening and regain smooth and clear appearance.

· Alleviate painful dry cracked feet progressively.

I was shocked after they showed me the quality imported plant fibre sponge that they used during the
treatment. It was filthy. I saw a drastic difference. This treatment is not only on the surface layer but it actually penetrates deeper to cleanse all the impurities from the dermis layer of your skin.

The quality and imported plant fibre sponges which showcases the before (right) and after (left)

Straight away I can feel my skin is much smoother and brighter compared to the other parts which they haven't do. I love how they always show me the before and after which is a clear evidence that the treatment is really working well.

I love how my skin feels smooth, nourished, brightened and relaxed. It's like they took my stress away and suck out all the negativity!

Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

At The Treatment Room

I highly recommend to everyone because they provide a new realm of beauty treatments that combines advanced technology, superior quality products and skilled techniques to deliver an experience of luxury and comfort.

Also, they just don't believe in one product like most places do. They do carry a few international
brands from France, Germany, USA, Belgium and Switzerland which I think it's good as they have thoroughly explained that everyone’s skin is different.

Thank you so much to the Beauty Professional for explaining to me carefully and the Body Perfect
Team for the unforgettable experience!

Happy 30th Birthday to me!

Initially I wanted a big party because I am turning 30, but then I thought to myself, I just want the closest of friends and family who's always been for me to be there by my side to celebrate this special moment. So, it was a small and intimate party but super fun. I mean, all you need is your good friends to be around, right?

Jas and I planned this party since December and since Henry's birthday is also on February, she thought, why not combined both party?

I wanted GOLD to be the main colour as I wanted to celebrate only with my GOLDEN GIRLS!

I got myself a 3 tier cake as I am 30 years old, decorated with Peonies while I got Henry a GUINNESS CAKE. Both cakes are from the talented Jess of JKBakery, same baker from Mika's first birthday cake.

My kins :) My everything, My Golden Girls
So much beauty in one picture

We celebrated at the Ambassador Suite, Berjaya Times Square Penthouse ( same location as my 80's birthday theme party ) on 13 February which was my actual birth date. I love planning parties, the never ending scrolling on Pinterest and pinning it just makes me so happy. Do you like our dessert table deco? It's all done by Jasiminne and I! We should really start our own party planning business hehe...

My girls

This year my party started a bit late as I had to put Mika to bed first, then only I can entertained my friends properly and start dancing, drinking and playing games. Mika always comes first, my party people can wait, RIGHT? These bunch are too awesome!

The night started with some drinking and gambling while I was busy breastfeeding

2 random things happened that very night :

1.  The Malaysian beats the English in the drinking game!

2. When Jasiminne called the concierge for some newspaper and they sent a SOFA!

X

The party isn't all about drinking and gambling only, we also played two games from our childhood

1. Musical Chair
2.  Newspaper

Yup, we all wanted to be FOREVER YOUNG that very night...

Judging for the newspaper game where they have to step on that tiny newspaper

After many rounds of games, it was time to dance and boy, the last girl dancing was at 5 am! I was already soundly asleep by 4 am but Mika woke me up at 5 am! LOL

The very next day I crashed right away after reaching home

This is the scene in my room, on my bed

Mich : I am hungry, can you get me an orange?
Marcus : Sure

( He went out to get me an orange, came back and I was asleep already )

I didn't even know that I was asleep....

Anyways, back to the party!

With my kesayangan after dancing :) Thank you for flying down just to celebrate my birthday! Love you so much

The After Party

What a mess right? I really pity the person who's gonna clean our mess and this is only the dinning table, the kitchen is much worst.

Hello Toddler Mika

Hello baby :)

You are forever my baby, even though you are a 16 years old boy reading this post or stalking what MaMa used to be like by reading all of my older posts.

STOP! Don't stalk MaMa! :P

Yesterday you turned 16 months! Woohoo! One year 4 months. Can't believe time pass so quickly and now you are able to walk, run and talk a little bit. Your first word was PaPa :) You can't say MaMa until Aunty Lina taught you much later and you keep calling NaiNai = Yeh Yeh for quite a while... till we bribe you with food. Yes, we could easily bribe you with food, just like your PaPa!

You could say many words already by now, you could even form a few sentences :

1. MaMa, milk please
2. Woah, NICE! touch!
3. MaMa, carry please
4. Aiya! Aiya! Aiya! Aiya x40

You are on the " parrot " stage now where you can just copy whatever we said, or whatever we forced you to say. You could even wish MaMa " Happy Birthday " when I turned 30!

You would even say " HERMES " cleary and " YVES SAINT LAURENT " (not that clear )  when Aunty Jasiminne taught you that! Imagine the shock-ness in our faces.

You could even count 1-2-3 and say A B C without any help from us, just bribe with food... and you could finish it when we helped, but you had trouble pronouncing ' W '

You are also such a cheeky boy! You dislike your car seat and you would just CRY and SCREAM and lie to MaMa that you want MILK so that I would take you out. LOL! MaMa knows your trick now.

You are growing so fast and you keep kicking PaPa during your sleep! Some of them are pretty painful, make sure you massage PaPa when you are older.

You prefer plastic toys rather than soft toys. You love playing with cheap toys which PaPa bought from the RM 2 and RM 5 shop. No kidding. You don't have a favourite toy. You prefer playing with the packaging of the toys, mineral bottles or straws.

You love wheels but you also love pink teapots.

You are quite vain also, you like to look at yourself at the mirror and sometimes you kiss the mirror.

So unpredictable :)

You really bring joy to our family, Mika :) You are such a smiley kid, the one who always laugh and always say "Hello" to random strangers in the lift, don't ever change that.

Xoxo,
MaMa

For Mothers who needs to get ready fast

Dear mothers,

I know you sacrifice a lot in raising a child. But please, do not give up on yourself. You must always take care of yourself first, then only you can look after your child. Do remember to eat well, sleep and exercise too.

Another one of the biggest thing that mothers ignore is not getting dolled up.

You might ask, WHERE GOT TIME?

Trust me, there is TIME

YOU just need to find TIME

and this is how I, as a MOTHER, get ready for a day out in 15 MINUTES

Ps : I've linked each product that I am using, click on the brand to read more info about the particular product.

First of all, you need a good base. I am not talking about liquid foundation or that thick ICI that you slap on your face. I am talking about good skin care that can make your skin glow and feel silky smooth  that will help putting make up on much easier.

I start with washing my face with my CHANEL cleanser, followed by scrubbing it with HIMALAYA walnut scrub

I also use the Jelly Cleansing Puff which I bought from Seoul, and it's one of the best thing that I bought under RM 15! This cleansing puff really smoothes my face and makes it so much easier to apply anything on it later. I highly recommend that you get one from your favourite Korean skin care shop! Even Michelle Phan talks about it!

After cleansing, I would apply moisturiser and I am currently using ORIGINS or sometimes I alternate with my CHANEL moisturiser which I love, but it's super expensive.. so I only use it for special occasions.

Then I will proceed on applying IOPE air cushion which I got from Seoul. I adore this cushion type foundation, it's very light and feels like I didn't apply any foundation at all! It gives my face a natural glow and I like how radiant I look.

All I need to do is dab around and I'm done! Super quick and easy

Next most important is drawing my eye brows. I am currently using TARTE Amazonian clay waterproof eye brow mousse and it comes with a brush. Seriously, the brush is everything. I first comb my brows with the spolie and then proceed to draw them nicely with the angle brush. Brows are everything as it shapes the face. This part you may take your time as it's very important.

I love the SHIN CHAN brows! Do you?
Fat like The Very Hungry Caterpiller

Oh, mother's joke

AHHAHAHHAHAHAH

Next I apply blusher with a smile and I am currently using the colour orgasm by NARS. I want to look healthy, so I always add a dash of colour on my cheeks. Or else, I will look sick and pale.

Ps: It's really hard to get this particular colour because it's so famous! My sister was so lucky to find it in NARS Pavilion during my birthday.

Then I will apply mascara to make my eyes look bigger, because as a mother with lack of sleep you seriously need to make your eyes POP!

Note that I skip eyeliner if I want to get ready fast as eyeliner is one of the trickiest thing for me! Once it's not winged properly, habislah my mood! I can't function. LOL. So, my advise is to skip the eyeliner and just be happy with the mascara!

I am currently using BENEFIT mascara

Then I would apply the TOPSHOP lip marker and not lipstick because my baby will easier smudge my lipstick as his fingers will surely touch my face! and trust me, he smudged my lipstick before.

So, no lipstick!

Use lip markers/stains or coloured lip balm. I fancy the 3CE lip stains which you can get from Sephora as I think TOPSHOP has already stopped bringing in their lips stain.

Hmmm.. what next?

Oh yeahhhhh, HAIR! This is my tip for all mothers to have a nice quick chic hairstyle

If your hair used to be like mine, long and frizzy, please cut it short and do RELAXING. I did mine at Number76 StarHill and I highly recommend Yves. This haircut and treatment SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME! I kid you not! All I need to do is some light ironing which takes about 2-3 mins. If you don't want to cut it short, I used to iron my hair at night when Mika is asleep for my next day event. Yes, I get ready a day before the event because this will take too much of my time. So, I just went to chopped it off.

Anyways, short hair are in trend right now and I love how young I look. Many people say I look like a kid but for me, it's Chic.

 Voila~ and I am DONE!

fresh face, air cushion, eye brows, mascara, blusher, lip stain and light ironing

These are the steps I used for a day out with Mika and my husband.

My husband Marcus likes the fact that I can get ready fast,  so that he doesn't have to wait for me at the door with his hungry and growling stomach.
 WIFEY LOVE POINTS <3 p="">

Hope this helps some mother out there to get dolled up quick!

and yes, we can all ignore the unfolded clothes at the back.. I can do that later at night when the baby goes to sleep.

My mother gave me this advise which I will never forget :

"You must look even more beautiful after marriage and giving birth."

Thank you mom! LOVE LOVE!

Cheers,
Ma Ma Michie

Psss: Some people think that I did plastic surgery, but I actually did not. I also didn't inject any fillers or botox. I might look different maybe because of my weight? In high school I was much bigger maybe around 50 kg or more but since college it has dropped to 45 kg and now 41 kg.

Or perhaps it's my makeup?

Also, my mom is eurasian, so I naturally I inherit her nose and light brown eyes.

Y.O.U should know since you are also part eurasian. 😒

 3. SAND ? Box area : Something similar but instead of sand, they use PHYTONCIDE

Man Hin, Richard and Mika :) Missing Asher!

Mika really likes the kitchen area, perhaps he will be an awesome cook like his PaPa

Oh, this cafe is so cool that it serves beers! Now dads can chill and watch their children play! But not too much yeah...

Not only that, this cafe has this service where they will take care of your children when your food is served. My jaw literally dropped when they told me that! My wish came true hehe! Now we can all eat in peace. I really love their service here, super friendly. They even extended their opening time so that the kids could play longer that day. I will definitely go back.

Perhaps it's also a good place if you wanna have business meetings, then you can talk while your kid plays around.

Mika and his BFF -- Richard

This BFF wanna be B- BOYS, break dancing and all! Did you know that Richard can dance really well? So cute when he shake his bum bum

Hello from Jungle Gym Atria, one of the biggest play land in town! I was really excited when I heard about them from Cheri whom celebrated her son's birthday there.

It has two playground basically.

One for below 2 years old which is called BABY LAND and another one called the FUN LAND for older kids. But Mika, PaPa and MaMa covered everything. Mika is quite active and adventurous when it comes to this.

We started with exploring BABY LAND first where all things are smaller, cute and safer.

Then it's off to FUN LAND!

A lot more kids are here running and screaming. You can find their parents or MOSTLY Indonesian/Philippines maids at this area, taking care of the kids.

It's truly a massive playground! Confirm your kids will knock out by the time they are done.

Happy Birthday Zachary! Love the DINOSAUR theme.

Mika was the youngest, so obviously PaPa has to hold and hide when it comes to taking pictures of the kids.

Overall, I think Mika enjoyed the LONGEST slide the most. I seriously don't know how many times we were on this slide. He is seriously not afraid of heights.

We also climbed up to the second level for more adventures. It is also a great work out for moms and dads.

I personally love the place with all the colourful balls. I've never had a chance to play it when I was younger as they don't have it in Taiping. Now I am fulfilled. LOL. Thanks Mika.

Mika trying to jump on the trampoline

At the basketball and football area, where sometimes you can find dads playing with bunch of mid teens :)

Do remember to bring your socks for both YOU and your KIDS. There are also lockers to rent to put your stuff if you are going in to play with your kids.

They also have a movie room, arts&craft section and they serve home cooked  at their Jungle Cafe.

Rawa Island resort // Pulau Rawa

Hey everyone! I am back and well rested after my holiday in Pulau Rawa, Johor. I am actually very excited to blog about my experience here, since there was no review about Rawa Island Resort at all.

Pulau Rawa is about 4 hours and 30 mins drive away from Kuala Lumpur which might be a good place to go during the short holidays. We actually started our journey on Thursday after breakfast to Johor, since this group is quite the foodie group, we actually stopped by Seremban for some awesome crabs first, then only we continue our drive to Mersing.

We stayed one night in Mersing because the speed boat hours are either 9am or 12noon. There will be no other boats going in Pulau Rawa later on. So, we decided to take a chill drive down and stay in Mersing for a night. Mersing is actually a very small town but they do have KFC, Guardian and 7 Eleven all close by. They even have baby shops beside Guardian which is convenient for mothers if incase you forgot to bring anything.

The next day was adventure time! Off we go to Pulau Rawa which takes only about 20 mins by speedboat and Mika's face was priceless. I know that he is scared but he still can smile.

Hello Paradise :)

                                             SUN. SEA. BEACH.

PARTY. SLEEP. TAKE CARE BABY!

There are only two place to live in and it's divided from this jetty, which everyone can use the slide.

1. Alang's Rawa, a cheaper place but looks very cosy actually. No air cond and hot water. Very simple food served. ( My sister was staying there, that's how I know about it )

2. Rawa Island Resort, very expensive and the room is OK only for the price that we paid. I was honestly expecting a 5 star hotel as we paid RM 1500 per night for a water front view.
There was no toiletries at all expect for a few bar of soap, but there is air cond and hot water. Food are served in buffet style and the choices are not too bad. On Saturday it's their BBQ night.

Please note that the prices they offer are inclusive of boat ride to and from jetty, accomadation and food only.

They do have a bar there as well. One tower of beer is roughly RM 150. Corkage is RM 90.

The view is so stunning. Crystal clear water, powder soft sand, friendly fishes and amazing clear skies.

Our room at Rawa Island Resort

After checking in, then its off to the beach!

I brought the UNICORN and FLAMINGO float there and a lot of kids asked me if they could use it and honestly, I seriously could made money from it as so many kids want to ride on it!

You can go hiking, snorkelling, diving and even play on the water slide which only opens during high tide in Pulau Rawa. There is also trampoline and volley ball net outside while indoor you have the kids corner, library, TV area, piano, foosball & pool table.

Rawa Island Resort is definitely more baby friendly than Alang's Rawa as you can see all the kids over this side, mostly Europeans with their baby strollers. I think I spotted about 4-5 strollers as it's quite stroller friendly.

Every morning, we would feed the fish from our water front room and we saw coral shark, school of fishes and blue spotted sting ray. Mika really enjoyed this moment with us.

Mika and his friend, Man Hin

Yup, we are evil parents. LOL

After looking at all the rooms, hillside, beach front, water front and the villas which has 3 rooms, I personally think that having a room at the beach front would be ideal for me next time when I come again because I like how we could just walk straight to the beach. The other rooms were quite a bit of a walk from the main entrance.

The water front room could get a little noisy at night till early morning because of the tide. the waves keep on knocking on the rocks and sometimes it can get pretty loud and once even woke me up as it sounded pretty scary.

 Mommy time off

Mika was wearing Merries diapers the whole time and I must say this is one of the best diaper I've tried so far! It doesn't leak even if it' soaked cos Mika eventually ran to the water, it didn't torn apart. I don't know bout you, but once Marcus accidentally forgot to take this particular brand of diaper when he took Mika to the swimming pool, the diaper seriously torn apart with all the cotton coming off. I was shocked when that happened. Lucky with Merries, it did not happened.

Till next time Pulau Rawa, we will definitely be back :)

Home is not a place, it's a feeling

and it is one of the best feeling, you feel safe and warm  when you are home. To make it better, a clean home is a must, especially even more so when Mika came into our lives. My husband and I always wants the best for him. I mean, which family doesn't want the best for their children, right?

I recently converted to be a KAO user. So here’s my journey with the KAO family!

Morning :

If you didn’t know, Mika actually loves helping me with house chores. He likes to put all the dirty clothes inside the washing machine. I didn’t help him at all, he does it all by himself.

I will only help him pour the ATTACK detergent and start the washing machine. I love the smell of the detergent and I even use it to wash Mika’s clothes too. It powerful yet gentle.

Afternoon :

If you don’t know KAO, it's from Japan and Merries is Japan No.1 diaper brand. This is my first time using Merries diapers actually. My first impression was  that it's super soft compared to others.

Here’s Mika brushing his teeth, wearing MERRIES diapers.

First ( fluke ) experiment :

I was testing the absorbency of this diaper. I started off from 6:30 pm ( right after this evening shower ) and completely forgotten to change his diaper until the next morning at 8 am! Most shocking part, it didn't leak at all and he didn't get any diaper rash!

I am really impressed.

I am a converter now ! GIVE ME MERRIES !

Also, another important part is that it keeps Mika feeling dry so that Mika can sleep well at night. That's very important to me. I will continue this journey and will update you all about it.

Second experiment :

The softness of Merries diapers is just amazing. Soft like Mika's bum bum. It is so gentle with Mika's skin. No red tight marks at the side as it's really soft and it didn't hurt Mika's skin.

Third ( fluke ) experiment :

My sister Lina was handling Mika while I was busy doing something, so she took him to the pool without taking out his diaper. Guess what? The cotton didn't even come out or torn! One diaper I've tried before this actually torn apart as it was too heavy and all the cotton just came out, like a smash diaper. I had to pick up and clean the whole mess beside the pool area.

So, in conclusion :

GOOD ABSORBENT and it's SUPER SOFT and gentle on Mika’s skin.

Mika testing the softness and how stretchable the side of the diapers can be.

Do you like it?

 YES I DO!

You gotta try it yourself and you'll be amazed!

If any of my friends wanna try it, come and find me, i’ll give you some samples.

Besides keeping Mika’s bum bum clean, the house must also be clean!

I've got a few new good friends who will help me with this. GOODBYE germs and HELLO sparkling clean home! Of course one of the best feeling is coming home to a clean house. I think even your husband will be back early from work just to stay in the clean home.

Clean floor, clean and smell good toilets, grease free kitchen and nice smelling laundry.

Perfect.

Thank you Magic Clean products for making my life easier! Even now my husband can help as it's easier to clean.

One thing about my home is that there is a lot of hair on the floor! ( Mostly my hair LOL ) and the old school brooms like cannot sweep properly as the hair and dust will just fly away and when I wanted a quick clean, I am so lazy to take out the big vacuum cleaner, so I just use the Magic Clean Wiper. They have both Dry Sheet and Wet Sheet.

Evening :

Mika loves the wiper so much that he wants to clean the house by himself.

Such a good boy, helping MaMa to clean.

Even better when PaPa helps around. Marcus said the wiper is really easy and convenient to use, it definitely saves time and strength.

PS from wife to husband : Perhaps you can now help us clean the house more?

I like how innovative the design is, ultra slim head that reaches at narrow spaces!

Once I took it away, this was Mika’s expression. PRICELESS! LOL

This is the outcome from cleaning, so dirty! YUCK!

KAO will be introducing a guidebook titled ‘My Secret to My Modern Parenthood, which contains 12 chapters covering topics and home care tips from Japan about understanding babies, knowing the importance of fatherhood, family budgeting, environmental hygiene, methods to cleaning household items to testimonial from doctors to parents and experts as well.

You can find all about it here at : http://www.kao.com/my/my-modern-parenthood/

KAO is also having a home makeover contest titled

PARENTHOOD HOME MAKEOVER

You can stand a chance to win ahome makeover & KAO products worth up to RM30,000. To join, purchase RM38 worth of Magiclean /Attack products and minimum 1 packet of Merries diapers. Contest runs from 2 May to 31 July 2016.

Thank you so much KAO for making every mother’s life easier. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Now we know why Japanese don’t hire maids.

Love,
MaMa Michie

Roger Vivier X Mandarin Oriental Afternoon Tea

Last Sunday we had our first ever afternoon high tea at Lounge on the Park, Mandarin Oriental. I was psyched when I learned that they have a fashion afternoon tea by Roger Vivier.

The stand is RM 108, served with your choice of tea. I've got a sweet tooth, and this pastries were delectable yet fashionable. A perfect combination.

If you don't know, almost everyday I eat chocolate or something sweet after meals. It's like an addiction, lol or else the meal or my day would feel incomplete.

The place was pretty quiet when we were there although it was almost full house, I guess people would tend to think that during afternoon tea in a 5 star hotel, everything must be more quiet and proper? Or just maybe... it was the Piano music that makes everyone more quiet? But we didn't really care as we laughed so many times as it was really a great catch up session.

Chocolate shoe, anyone?

All good things must come to an end, so this #RVXMOtea is only available from 9th May till 30th June, from 230 PM to 6PM. Hope they would have more collaborations like this soon with other brands/designers!

Love this picture of us. Older sisters at the back, holding our younger sisters. We all practically grew up together as we are cousins. I remember us forming  'Gang Basikal' and we could cycle around our taman and just play together. Later on, we upgraded to motor rides, which was just for a short while then to cars. We used to read SailorMoon and Dik Cerdas together while growing up, having sleep overs at each other houses and I was always the first one who fall asleep. We would perform Spice Girls songs to our mothers and aunties, dance and draw pictures of the beautiful Laura, inspired by the song 'Tell Laura I Love her' and pass it to our neighbours. Not only that, we all also used to pretend that crayons were our lipstick ( damn dangerous, come to think of it ) and we would just share and talk about anything.

Thank you for making my life perfect. Mika is so blessed to have awesome aunties to grow with.

It was indeed an afternoon filled with laughter and love.

10 Things Not To Say To A New Mom

$
0
0

1. You look tired

OH HELL NO, ( *takes  out hoop earrings ) NEVER NEVER NEVER say that to a new mom, she is adjusting herself and taking care of her baby who wakes up every 3 hours! Instead, you can say this : Go and take a nap while I help you take care of the baby.

2. Your child is too thin/too fat

We as mom, do our very best in feeding our child. Mothers will NEVER STARVE their children. My doctor told me it's normal for their weight to go UP and DOWN as they will eventually catch up. Besides, if you don't have any children, please don't say such comment, it does hurt the mom as it indicates that we don't really take care of our children.

3. Are you pregnant?

NEVER NEVER NEVER ask any woman if she's pregnant. Enough said.

4. Why you give your children the Ipad?

This deserve a whole blog post :) Coming soon...

5. Do you do anything else besides being a mom?

Oh let me see :

1. House manager

2. Maid
3. Cook
4. Driver
5. Teacher
6. Professional screamer
7. Professional toy-picker
8. Event Planner
9. Professional Baby Kisser and Hugger
10. I even work on HOLIDAYS

BOOOOOMMMMMMSSSSSSZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

NEVER look down at Stay At Home Mothers, instead ask them : How does she do it :)

6. Are you still breastfeeding?

I guess most mothers are sick of this question. They don't want to be reminded that one of their boobs is bigger than the other one. LOL  #truestory

7. Did you wanted a girl or a boy?

I think this question is pretty sensitive. Mothers will always opt for healthy baby as that's more important.

8. When was the last time you showered?

-__- You want someone to punch you in the boob? I have to admit that it's harder to shower when I am alone with Mika as I can't leave him alone even though he is sleeping. WHY? Once I went to the shower while Mika was sleeping and half way thru washing my hair, he woke up -_- ! Not a good scene. I had to quickly get out and breastfeed him in my towel, semi dry. Not cool bro.

9. Why are you still wearing your PJs at 4pm?

I am looking at you SU ANNE MARSHA CLARK

My bestie asked me via SnapChat when she saw one of my snaps and I SNAPPED back LOL, but she was just joking :) LOVE YOU B!

10. This one is for the husband : Here, the baby wants MILK

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY all husband will pass back the baby once it starts crying and straight away say : Baby wants MILK.

I am sure there are many more! Any mothers out there wanna share?

*If you see my hair brushed and had bra on by noon time, you know it's been a good morning*

Hello Zwitsal

One of the very best smell in this whole world is the smell of fresh babies after a joyous bath.

Just imagine this: luke warm water, bubbles, rubber duckie and Zwitsal.

What is Zwitsal you might ask?
Zwitsal products are natural ingredients in a bottle that gives your little one gentle nourishment. It is originated from The Netherlands and is a leading brand in Europe for the past 100 years and they just recently launched in Malaysia!

They've got 2 products type :

1. Classic

** Natural moisturising with Canola Flower extract **

Shampoo
I love it’s hypoallergenic-tested which means it’s suitable for sensitive skin and has Tear-free formula which is a plus when it comes to shampooing Mika’s hair because he will cry if the shampoo isn’t tear-free. It is also enriched with Canola Oil to soften the scalp which prevents it from dryness and irritation.

Lotion
Tested Hypoallergenic which is suitable for baby’s sensitive skin. It also contains natural moisturising ingredients like Jojoba Oil which is long believed to nourish and keep the baby’s skin healthy and smooth. Do you know Canola Oil is also a natural moisturiser?

Powder
I love love love pouring the powder on Mika’s bum bum and body as it smells and feels really refreshing! It’s tested hypoallergenic which is suitable for baby’s sensitive skin and is gentle to a newborn baby as it contains natural moisturising from the extract of the Canola flower.

Wipes
It is pH balanced, mild and alcohol free, hypoallergenic tested which is suitable for baby’s sensitive skin. It contains Aloe Vera and Canola Oil which are natural moisturizers to protect baby’s skin from dryness and mild irritation. It has this mild formula with mild surfactant which is formulated for babies so it’s safe and suitable to clean diaper areas, hands or even the mouth for after feeding and other needs.

2. Natural

** Natural ingredients which are highly recognised by mothers **

Shampoo
It is hypoallergenic tested and has Tear-Free formula. It contains celery, candlenut and aloe vera which has been known to promote black and thick hair growth. Yes, Mika really need this as he doesn’t have much hair to begin with.

2in1 Bath
I love how easy i could just use one product instead of two when it comes to this. It is hypoallergenic tested and is pH balanced formula, suitable for babies skin and hair. It contains Aloe Vera and Pro Vit B5 which cleanses, softens and nourishes the baby’s hair and skin. It is also Tear-Free.

Milk & Honey Bath
It is rich with ingredients such as milk protein, honey, Vitamin E and B5 to maintain the health of the baby’s skin to keep it soft and fresh. It does not cause dry skin as it’s mild formulated.

Baby Oil
Hypoallergenic-tested, which is suitable for babies sensitive skin and it’s great for massaging babies and can be used to cleanse your baby’s skin. It contains Aloe Vera, a natural moisturizer and Vitamin E which nourishes the skin.

Baby Skin Protector
This is their STAR PRODUCT which contains Citronella, which is a natural mosquito repellent and it also has Chamomile extract to relieve itching. It is also safe for sensitive skin.

Since the number of Dengue cases has increased, we must always protect our baby. Like they said, better prevention than cure.

What I like about the Natural products are :

It is Hypoallergenic tested, which means even babies with sensitive skin are safe to use, pH balanced and safe for sensitive skin as you know new born babies are very delicate and this is the perfect nourishment for them as it’s natural and very nourishing for their skin and Mika loves it too! as we enjoy his bath time with the Zwitsal products and rubber duckie.

Not forgetting, it's like a spa treatment for the little ones.

Let's start with a healthy massage, fun bath, fresh touch and lastly skin nourishing to complete.

To me personally, shampoo & body bath that smells like childhood. It brought back memories like I've smelled it before. It has this calm, relaxing and cuddly smell and it's addictive. I'm smelling Mika's head non stop. He wouldn't let me put lotion or powder on him as he wants to do it on his own. But I also a little naughty as I wanted to give him a massage, so we will ' debate ' on who gets to do what.

Kids nowadays... -_-

He usually wants the lotion and I have to put some on his palm so that he can rub and massage his legs while I puts powder on him as it smells so good and keeps him fresh!

We really enjoy our bonding session over Zwitsal and I love their classic signature yellow colour bottle. So timeless.

Leaving my toddler for the first time and the aftermath

Ola! I am back from my Europe trip :) For those who didn't know, I was in Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona for 2 weeks and I decided to burn Mika's flight ticket last minute. Thankfully I had the help from my parents and my mother in law. Mika was sent to Taiping and it is the first time I am away from my 20 month old son.

I already prepped him that MaMa and PaPa will be going for a long holiday and was really worried if he could cope without me especially, because I was still breastfeeding him. I introduced formula to him about 3-4 months before the trip and it was hell until right before I left. He slowly begun to accept it.

Then came the day, June 22, 2016 when my dad drove all the way from Taiping to fetch Mika and go home straight. I hugged him, kissed him and breastfed him one last time. I even teared.

We landed in Paris after 17 hours, after transiting in Abu Dhabi for a couple of hours. First thing in the morning we did was to FaceTime my son.

Dad : He didn't even ask for you

Ouch.

Hurts.

LOL.

Even during FT, he didn't really layan me because he was busy with his new toys.

Ouch.

Ok. Never mind. We will try tomorrow.

Tomorrow came.

Same thing.

Nothing changed.

So, I guess either I prepped him well or he doesn't care or he was mad.

Until now, I still don't know the answer.

He was very happy back in Taiping! He could do things that he couldn't do in KL.

1. Ride on a motorbike ( Thank you Uncle Omar )
2. Sit on a boat
3. Dad took Mika to his latest housing development and sat on a roller.

When they sent me pictures, I was like WOOOOOAHHHHHHHHH!! No way Mika would wanna come back to KL. Taiping was so much more FUN!

Since I was still breastfeeding, I just decided to bring my pump and see how it goes. Either I stop it or just continue pumping to keep the milk supply going.

On the second day, I stopped pumping as it was getting very uncomfortable as I could feel lumps. Only Mika can cure me. That's what I thought.

I then went to the nearest grocery store and got myself a CABBAGE worth 3.50 Euros which completely saved my life. No medication.

I just put the cabbage leaves for 15 mins for at least 3 days and VOILA~ it worked! I can now enjoy my holiday without worrying about my breast being engorged. Happy as a clam!

Now I could really enjoy my trip. We also FaceTime less, maybe 3 times per week as I was also set to have my own personal time and just catching up with my sleeps. Feels good to sleep 12 hours straight!

It was great till the last two nights in Barcelona where my friend's apartment got robbed and they lost almost 7000 Euros. ( Story on next post ) That really brings down the whole gang.

It was pretty hectic in the airport as well, I had to run to my boarding gate as we were late and can you imagine me hugging my Celine bag ( super heavy ), running from gate 50 to 40 ( about 150m ) because I seriously don't want to miss my flight back to Malaysia. I miss my son.

We arrived home around 1 am, I took Mika who was asleep to my room and we all dozed off till around 4am where he suddenly woke up and started crying. He was in total shocked. He kept crying non stop because he couldn't see our faces in the dark. I had to calm him down and he kept crying and asking for my mother in law.

He did changed a little bit the next morning, a bit cold. I even took him for a walk in the garden which is his favourite but he kept crying and asking for my MIL.

I was like wtf happened. Did I made a big mistake by leaving Mika? He is not like this normally.

I was very upset as he became more manja, he didn't even want to sit on the car seat and worst still he doesn't want his mama  -_-

Then I just tried to breastfeed him again, ( there's not much milk left, just enough for one feeding ) after that, he became closer to me again.

It is seriously the power of the breast, I kid you not!

I was happy again. Phew~ then it just got better and better. Guess he needed time to adjust.

Now I no longer breastfeed and he sleeps almost throughout the night already.

Then my dad msg me : The family is going to London and Iceland for holiday in 2 weeks time, you wanna go?

I was like -_-|||| I seriously wanted to go but I had to sacrifice this trip because of Mika. You owe me one, son! ( actually you owe me a lot! just kidding )

Stay tuned for more stories :)

Nightmare at our AirBnB in Barcelona, lost 7000 Euros

Barcelona is a very beautiful city and best of all, it has a beach in the city! It is also not too crowded like London or Paris and weather was perfect during Summer. Gaudi's work is so amazing that it is a must see when you are in Barcelona, it's really beautiful yet trippy. But do be aware, if you are ever visiting Barcelona, please stay at legit hotel and avoid busy places like in the metro because Barcelona is also famous for pick pocketing and snatch thieves. Our group was quite unlucky as we decided to stay in an apartment in Barcelona near the Magic Fountain via AirBnB.

From the pictures, the apartment looked great! Bright and clean, walking distance to MNAC and many more attractions plus all the reviews was GOOD. It was really hard to find a place to settle all 10 of us, so we decided to rent the place.

When we first arrived, I was a bit shocked. The place was old and a bit dusty. We rented two apartments which are facing each other. We split to 5 people in one apartment and just be settled with it... but deep down, Jolyna and I were a bit unhappy with it because the pictures looked different. But we were OK until the night when Jolyna had to go back first to pump her breastmilk, there was no electricity in our unit. When she told me that, I already wanted to find another place to stay because we can't sleep or survived without electricity. The other apartment was perfectly fine, just ours.

As we were walking back, we stumble upon this cute boutique hotel and asked if there is any room left. He gave us a good rate as it was already 12 in the midnight and we just decided to move into this boutique hotel. So we went back and packed our stuff and happily moved in to our new pad while the rest was OK with the first place.

Little did we know, my friend's apartment got robbed on the second last night.

There was no sign forced entry and there is no way someone could climb up to the windows as it is quite high up! In our opinion, it was definitely an INSIDE JOB.

We came to a conclusion that it's either the Host's worker ( the one who opened the door for us ) or could be the maids.

They stole

1. A NEW Classic CHANEL 2.55 Caviar Skin Bag
2. A NEW LOUIS VUITTON handbag
3. A NEW LOUBOUTIN pair of heels
4. My friends BEATS earphones
5. Cash
6. 2 new bottle of perfumes
7. A pair of CHURCH men shoes

All of that worth 7000 Euros.

One of my other friend bought a new CHANEL Boy Bag for a friend and another LV bag but he was lucky because he locked his luggage.

No passport was stolen.

What made us even mad is that the host didn't even bother to come. All he did was to text us, he didn't even showed up to the police station!

He promised to come by 1pm, but he didnt showed up and pushed it to 3 pm,
3pm came and still he wasn't there and this time my friend just called and the host promised to be there at 5pm, but still haven't showed up and gave the excuse that he had to go out of town SUDDENLY.

WE WERE FURIOUS.

The police are useless, my friend said it's worst than KL police. They promise to come in 10 minutes time but there was no sign of them at all.

My friends just checked out the place without anyone there. NO ONE CAME!

ISN'T THAT JUST WEIRD?

What is also weird is that THE PERSON didn't take my other friend's LAPTOP, iPAD or even a BOSE headphones.

We felt like someone just came in, took my friend's new stuff and just walked away freely and easily.

OH! THEY did forgot something! They left a knife in the toilet... probably to attack my friends if they were home.

But we were blessed that no one got hurt as the couple's wedding is in two weeks time.

Her LOUBOUTIN heels was her wedding shoes, lucky she managed to buy it again on our last day in Paris and also her classic CHANEL bag which both are hard to find.

We also did contact AirBnB but they couldn't do anything as well. But we've submitted the police report to them and hope they could do something.

So there you go! Please be aware of this of scam, book a legit hotel instead whenever you are in Barcelona.

I even saw this young girl, aged around 16-18 years old stealing things from a souvenir shop and I even told the owner. But this people are quick, they quickly pass the stuff around and deny everything.

Barcelona is beautiful but also very dangerous.

Finally the day has come! Zebbers has finally gotten married.

It was a Godly and beautiful ceremony and reception with 75 tables at the Setia City Convention Centre last Sunday. It was full of laughter and tears of joy and I've never seen Zeb cries, being his friend for more than 7-8 years?

I first met Zeb when I knew Marcus back in those Laundry Bar days. Zeb is Marcus' best friend and they have known each other for 30 years and have been great brothers ever since. This kind of friendship is hard to find nowadays. I remember when I first met Zeb even before Marcus and I started dating. He is such a cool guy to be around. He is wise, intelligent, a natural born leader and a man of his words.

Hmmm, why I feel like I am writing a wedding speech for you now?

Hehe... any ways, I just want to wish you and Kylye all the best in your new chapter together. I know she will surely take good care of you with her good heart, cute smile and amazing cooking skills. Thank you Kylye for making Zeb truly happy.

Forgot to add this : Zeb is also very handsome... or else later I kena marah

My squad and I had a lot of fun that night! Catching up all together, dancing and Snapchattinggg!
If only Lina and Jas were there, it would be picture perfect for me.

What's in my diaper bag part 2

I finally found a diaper bag which I love!
Yeah, so for almost two years I was just using the Zara tote bag which was quite dangerous knowing someone could just steal my wallet and phone  -_- but I do alternate it will our PAPA bag which belongs to Marcus, but now I am a proud owner of a Storksak bag which I gotten from Ethissa.com.my on SALE!

I bought the Storksak Ashley in blue because I think it looks very classy and boyish. There is also one in coral colour, but since my first born in a boy, then BLUE it is.

Oh Mika! I wonder what you found in the bag?

Your water bottle of course!

Ps : I stopped using plastic bottle after reading Michelle Lim's book about parenting and followed her to buy glass bottles from LifeFactory.

So, let's see how spacious is this bag?

What's inside my diaper bag this round?

1. Merries diapers
2. A set of clothes
3. Water bottle
4. Books to entertain Mika
5. Toys to entertain Mika
6. Dry cloth to wipe him
7. Wet wipes
8. MaMa's wallet, phone & lipstick

Not only the bag looks good, but it is also very nice to carry as the strap is wider, so my shoulder is not that painful whenever I am carrying it. I mean all mothers should know that a diaper bag can get really heavy at times! Especially when you are going out the whole day, I will add in Mika's porridge, his cutleries, extra clothes and diapers and now not forgetting his MILK, because I am also feeding him formula and also breastfeeding him at the same time. Those were seriously heavy.

What other fancy stuff do you keep in your diaper bag?
