Traveling to Seoul with a one year old

It was madness.

Mika just turned one and we decided to bring him to Seoul, Korea during Autumn, which I've never experience this season before. I've never even been to a country during Autumn or Winter.

Yes, I've never touch snow before as I am more of a beach bum kinda person.

To be honest, I wasn't completely geared up for this trip as I was busy with work, Su Anne's wedding and taking care of the baby. I didn't even put much effort in research and I think it's why my trip was not as good as I thought it would be.

Traveling to Seoul with a toddler who just learn to walk is crazy. He wants to be carried all the time! Thank goodness we bought a new traveling stroller just in time for Seoul, can't imagine we traveling it with the Mima Xari.

The plane ride was OK because it was a 1 am flight and we book the Premium Flatbed instead as I know my back will patah even before we land in Seoul. We reached Seoul in the wee mornings, don't bother taking the train. Take UBER instead. With a baby and your heavy luggages ( more of baby's stuff ) you will have a hard time carrying everything!

There is not a single baby/kid in the train station as it's not baby friendly, there are too many steps and we were lucky as we travel in groups. My friends and sister was always there to help me. Thank you guys, couldn't do it without your help.

Mika's expression for the first two days!

The weather is nice but sometimes can be quite cold especially during the night. Make sure that your baby always have proper clothing. We bought heat tech inner clothing for the whole family from Uniqlo. Nice, comfy and warm.

Walking around Myeong Dong looking for awesome beauty products. I love Myeong Dong, but it's also not baby friendly. LOL.

You wanna know why?

Because all the cafe are upstairs and not a single one downstairs! We had to carry the stroller UP and DOWN and forget about nursing rooms. NONE! I hardly see any kid around. I even nurse him in the toilet.

Myeong Dong is filled with so many people walking that my husband gave up and he went to find a cafe to chill with Mika while I shop. Yup, not that baby friendly...

First day OOTD
Scarf from H&M
Top from ZARA
Pants fro PADINI
Bag from Charles&Keith
Shoes from Melissa

I wore my Melissa shoes the whole time in Seoul because it's so comfy!

We also checked out the DDP, which was so so so so beautiful....

Amazing architecture at the DongDaeMun Design Plaza, it has this Sci-Fi kinda feels.

Not forgetting the amazing LED roses which brightens the city and captivated our hearts.
You will literally go.. Awwwwwwwww....

Oh, forgot to mention that Lina and I went shopping at 2am! This is once in a life time experience which I will never forget.. Left the baby sleeping with the hubs, hop into the cab and off to DDM!

Also, the people there don't really speak English and the cab drivers are quite rude, we had quite a few experience where they just left us somewhere near our destination and we got lost. Getting lost with a baby is not fun. I think everyone in the group has the same incident. I even got lost in the market without any phone, and I asked at least 4-5 groups if they speak English and all of them juts shook their head till I finally met one. Better brush up on your Korean if you plan to visit one...

Then the next day we head to Apujeong, where cafe Dior is located! Sheena first saw it on Instagram and we were so excited to try Pierre Herme's delectable desserts!

Everyone there was super friendly to us which was a shocker! They opened our car door, greeted us with a smile and carefully explain whatever we question them. They are all smiley and generally nice people. I don't know whether the love Mika or they noticed Jasiminne's limited edition Lady Dior handbag?

The manager suggested to try their famous Ispahan Ice Cream which totally blew my mind! And I paired it with the Ispahan champagne.

Yes, I need some drink after the first hectic day I've had...

The perfect combo

Second Day OOTD
Inner top and bottom from UNIQLO HEAT TECH
BULU Layer from H&M
Belt from Vera Wang
Shoes from Melissa

With the Seoul Sisters,
Jasiminne, Jillian, Lina, Me and Sheena

Not forgetting our family photo which is a must! Love this blue sweater that Jolyna, Vicca, Ernest and Chris got for him for his first birthday.

The ambience was really nice and relaxing with a lot of click click..

Hehe, click click means a lot of girls taking selfie with desserts!

Mika had a lot of FUN in Lotte World, like finally! The only place filled with kids.. but with Mika being only one year old and barely walks, the rides were kinda limited :(

We actually bought the one day pass and regretted it as we paid quite a lot and we didn't even try on any rides for the adults. I suggest if you don't want to play any ride, you can pay only for the baby rides that you wanted.

To me honestly, it's just like a bigger GENTING HIGHLANDS... Nothing really to shout about but Marcus said it was good, so I don't know... perhaps I didn't enjoy it as I was already falling sick.

The last day we spent at Olympic Park which is one of the best park I've been too. The red, orange and yellow were too beautiful to be missed. It's my first time seeing this and yes, there were no single baby in sight. LOL. Perhaps all the kids are hiding from the cold?

Yup, that's me BREASTFEEDING by the park and yes it was freezing cold but we were feeling so warm at the time... Skin to skin is the best and I am sure Mika enjoyed his milk.

With the famous ALONE TREE, you are not alone anymore!

With my MELISSA shoes, thank you for accompanying me to Seoul.. you really took good care of my feet! LOVE YOU! and even though it's really dirty now ( after walking in the park ) it's so easy to clean it! Just use wet wipes to wipe all the dirts that stuck on my shoe. Love  how I can be fashionable yet comfy.

Mika lost one side of his shoes in Olympic Park which broke my heart. I didn't even noticed that his shoe went missing til after we got out from the park! This picture proves it went missing around this area..

Le Sigh...

Till we meet again, Seoul..
